Q: Who can register?
A: All UK meeting and conference venues can register to use The Event Wall. We focused on London based conference and meetings venues until late 2011 but are now promoting the business across the UK.
Q: What is the role of The Event Wall?
A: We aim to provide a marketplace for UK and London conference and meeting venues and as such we act solely as an agent. The contract to supply the conference venue always remains between the buyer and the venue.
Q: How does a buyer looking fo a venue make an enquiry?
A: A buyer can make a quick enquiry or use the venue search facility to select individual venues. When a quick enquiry is made the website matches the buyers requirements against all suitable venues and these are automatically emailed the enquiry details allowing them to make a proposal. When a venue search enquiry is made a buyer uses the venue search capability to select individual venues. Only the venues selected are emailed the enquiry allowing them to make a proposal.
Q: How much does it cost to use the site?
A: It is free for conference and meeting venues to register and make proposals to buyers. We only charge you commission when a conference or meeting venue is reserved through our site. The commission rate is 8% (or your prevailing commission rate if higher) of the total conference value which includes any pre-ordered services or products. You will be invoiced after the date that the conference is held. Please read the site terms and conditions for full details.
Q: How do I get my UK or London conference venue added to the Venue Search page?
A: When you register your venue we will check your venue details and if your venue meets our requirements we will add it to the map. Inclusion in this area are free.
Q: Can we promote our venue on The Event Wall?
A: We do not at present have any function to allow you to promote your venue. However if you are interested in advertising your venue please contact us to find out about future opportunities.
Q: Why is the buyers company name hidden on the enquiry?
A: When a buyer creates an enquiry they can decide if they make their company name public or keep this hidden.
Q: Can I change a proposal once I have created it?
A: You can change the details of your proposal at any time through My Events.
Q: How do I know an enquiry is real?
A: Every UK and London Conference Venue enquiry is checked and qualified with the client before being sent to venues.

A well written proposal that stands out from the rest can make all the difference between you winning business. A poor proposal can reflect badly on your venue whereas one with just a little bit more time spent on it can really jump out to the client. To help you write a winning proposals we have gathered together some best practice.
Proposal Name - This should include your venue name along with something catchy to make your proposal stand out. Do not include your personal name
Proposal Description - Include details of the room(s) available and your customer service credentials. Make this section personal including how you will make sure they event is one to remember.
Venue Profile - You do not need to include a profile of your venue as this will be copied from your account profile and shown on the proposal. To change this go to My Events > My Account
Pricing Notes - Use the pricing notes section to clarify the price you have offered along with setting out some of the extras that are available. As an incentive to book your venue you may wish to throw in some of these extras for free.
Proposal Discount - People like a discount so wherever possible try and offer even a small price reduction on your normal venue prices. This discount will be shown to the client so it will make your proposal stand out.
Attachments - People like to see pictures so include an attachment of photos or some marketing information on your venue.
