The Event Wall Launch Red Label Venue Finding Service - 07/03/2012
A new collaborative venue finding service has been launched by www.theeventwall.com which is aimed at small to medium size event management businesses that currently rely on manual processes to find venues for their clients. The Red Label Venue Finding Service seamlessly integrates with their partners' websites using The Event Wall's technology.
Matthew Oliver, director of The Event Wall, said, "Finding just the right venues for clients can prove to be a very time-consuming and laborious task that involves researching suitable venues, contacting them to check availability and rates, and finally collating proposals into a customer-friendly format. Our new service takes the pain out of this process by automating these tasks which allows our partners to concentrate on their core business and the client relationship."

London venues offer up to 63 per cent off published rates - Meetpie.com - 19/08/2011
London conference venues are offering discounts of up to 63 per cent less than their published day delegate rates as cost conscious buyers ‘shop around’, according to the latest research by venue finding portal www.theeventwall.com.
The research, based on proposals received from venues for the first seven months of 2011, showed that 75 per cent of proposals were discounted below the venues’ published rates, with hotels offering some of the biggest savings. An average reduction of 25 per cent was being offered.
Matthew Oliver, director of The Event Wall, said: “The state of the economy continues to put pressure on venue rates across the capital with some great savings to be found if you shop around. Hotels are discounting their published rates heavily to compete with conference centres and meeting venues to meet the demands of cost conscious buyers. It appears that buyers are not currently willing to pay a premium to hold their conference in hotels and are looking at other venue types.

Conference and meeting venues across London have been discounting their list prices by up to 65 per cent to secure last minute business, according to venue sourcing site theeventwall.com.
Matthew Oliver, director, said he had noticed the trend amongst venues responding to venue enquiries posted on the site since it became compulsory for bookers to disclose their budget in Q3 of last year.
Enquiries posted on the site now receive an average of eight proposals, with the fastest response time to date being just 11 minutes between enquiry posting and first proposal.

Training providers that disclose their conference venue budgets are most likely to benefit from major discounts to their conference and venue costs, according to newly launched venue sourcing site theeventwall.com. Venues eager to secure business discounted list prices by up to 65% in a bid to ensure that the conference venue budget lands in their coffers. Since making a change to The Event Wall website requiring members to disclose their budget in Q3 last year, the number of worthwhile proposals received has increased and the level of savings has gone up significantly.
Matthew Oliver, director of The Event Wall, commented: "People often believe that it is important to keep the budget a secret otherwise they will not be given a good price. However, with The Event Wall, due to the ability for our members to quickly compare proposals online, the opposite appears to be the case. What we have seen is that venues are particularly keen to secure what they know is a confirmed budget and are prepared to discount list prices significantly as a result. Members are either getting more for their money, gaining access to venues that would have normally come in too expensive, or realising some great savings which enable them to come in under budget."

Recently launched conference venue sourcing website theeventwall.com has proven its worth with offshore oil exploration firm Rockhopper Exploration (Rockhopper), finding the firm a larger venue for its AGM within two hours of an enquiry being posted on the website.
Rockhopper originally anticipated a smaller number of attendees at its annual general meeting, but 36 hours prior to the event took a view that the number of attendees was likely to exceed the capacity of the existing venue and could be as many as 500. A new venue with a much larger capacity was required, within close walking distance of the existing venue.
Jacqui Forte of Rockhopper, said: "We knew it was a tall order to find a venue with appropriate capacity and availability at such short notice within the specific location we needed, but The Event Wall came up trumps. We received six proposals within minutes of posting our enquiry on the site and reserved Gibson Hall within two hours of our urgent enquiry. Around 450 people attended the AGM and the event went off without a hitch."
Rockhopper created an enquiry on theeventwall.com which was immediately communicated to venues in the EC1 area of London using the sites automatic enquiry alert system. Registered suppliers were then able to respond to the enquiry within minutes and Rockhopper reviewed their proposals online, comparing options and rates to fit their budget.
Matthew Oliver, Director of The Event Wall, added: "This is great example of the power of our automatic alert system and online proposal management. Nobody wants to be in the position of finding a new, large capacity venue at short notice, but with theeventwall.com our fast turnaround means that suppliers with availability can respond immediately to enquiries. We are delighted that we could help Rockhopper and ensure a successful AGM that fulfilled their requirements."
London Calling - The Event Wall Targets London Buyers - Conworld.net - 24/11/2010
Buyers looking to organise meetings and conferences in London can now use a new central online service to source multiple quotes, compare prices and manage proposals online without divulging contact details to venues until they are shortlisted.
The Event Wall.com, launched earlier this year, has refined its service based on buyer feedback to provide a more tailored service, initially focusing on the capital as the most popular meeting and conference destination in the UK.
Matthew Oliver, Co-Director, said: "We have had a great response already to our service form both buyers and suppliers alike. After testing the system in multiple industry sectors across the UK and gathering buyer reactions, we decided to refine the site focusing on conferences and meetings in the capital where a majority of our business was coming from."

A new online service means conference organisers will never again have to ring round to gather quotes from suppliers. The Event Wall is a free-to-use website which allows buyers to post a conference or meeting venue brief and outline their budget and venues and other suppliers can respond with proposals.
Co-founder Michael Law said the website would save buyers both time and money: "Why have the same conversation with 10 different people, who will go on to sell your details and then have the phone ringing off the hook? Wouldn't it be easier to put an enquiry out there and then sit back and let the quotes come to you?"
He added: "On The Event Wall, suppliers can't email directly or telephone so it's in the control of the buyer and, as we are aware that privacy is a big issue, you don't have to disclose your company name or your budget publically if you prefer not to."
